Still working my way though the grief and anger. I want to be hopeful, but I really fear for those of my fellow Americans who do not possess the blue eyes, blond hair, and lily white skin that I inherited from my immigrant forebears. Or who do, but are LGBTQ.

OK, this has bothered me from my first reading of the script. Albus Severus and Scorpius are clearly set up to be gay - just as Lupin and Sirius were - and then the rug gets yanked out from under all of us again, and they get forced into heteronormative relationships. Once again, I weep for Severus Snape.

The monstrous event in Orlando - which is worth several rants in itself - has created a huge demand for blood. Fifty-three people wounded, some of whom are still struggling in hospitals. Toward the end of last year I started an Adventure Vacation Series with our boys. Recently, I noticed that I never posted the last one that I'd written. (Things tend to fall apart for me toward the end of the year.) So, better late than never, eh?
